I encourage helping people get more and more Destroyer cores. The more cores taken from the game and sent to the gamers, the lower the prices will be to buy them from others. The lower the price, the better. Make it available to everyone who can reach the Central Transfer Chamber.

Since I doubt HM increases collectable drops it's not worth it, only the normal item drops will be better/more value. But that's not what this farm is for

The mobs in normal mode drop cores like no tomorrow and you can tank them all at once.
The only reason worth trying to farm this in hard mode if for a chance at a Max damage tyrian sickle imo.

I adjusted that build for my ranger, and it works. Sure it's harder but with a little bit of practice you can make it.

- Expertise 8+1
- Wildernes Survival 10+1+1
- Restoration Magic 12
5 Stormbound Insignias
Sup Vigor (major will do)
2 Vitae runes
+30hp one handed weapon / +30hp shield with +10 armor against lightning
[skill]Vengeful Was Khanhei[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Zojun's Haste[/skill][skill]Dodge[/skill][skill]Alkar's Alchemical Acid[/skill]
Stay between archer dwarfs and wait till they get wiped. Hit VwK and then throw acid at the biggest group. Now the trick is to time Troll Unguent so it triggers when VwK ends, then you hit dodge (or zojun) and start running in circles untill VwK recharges. Rinse and repeat.
Be sure to stay in the middle and not run away to far cause they will attack the dragon.

They don't drop more in HM. Anyone have an assassin build?

If you make a build, keep it to your guild or friends. posting builds helps no one accept the people who are inexperienced, and ANET when they decide to nerf.
My point in short.... give builds to friends, not 5 million ppl

I am puzzled by objections to sharing builds. It is not an indication of inexperience to seek ideas and advice when you are facing some challenge or other. In fact I'd say it is just the reverse. More than that, I'd say that is the very point of most of the forums here at Guru. I have learned a lot of useful builds and skill combinations based on the suggestions and advice and debate of other people over what works best in what situations.
Personally, I don't care one whit about Destroyer Cores or farming or the gauntlets (I think they look pretty goofy, frankly ) and probably will never use this build for this purpose, but I appreciate the OP's posting it here and the creativity and skill used to achieve the desired goal. The video was nicely done, too. Good job!

I've been running this build for a while, I use Lion's Comfort instead of Air of Superiority as I don't want to complete The Path to Revelations (norn rep farming). I'm on 193 cores atm, almost there...

This build only works in normal-mode.
Does anyone know of a hard-mode version?

I jumped ahead from page 1 to page 4, to thank the OP.
To me other's builds are part of learning the game better. Instead of studying the hundreds of skills, I can study how they put their build together and get to enjoy the game better as I go along. Also, for professions I am not familiar with is a good way to configure your Heroes and learn. Example : I never played necro, yet thanks to good builds posted I have a hero MM and a hero Life sucker, and I use them frequently and have loads of fun.
The alternative is NOT that I would go learn it. The alternative is I wouldn't use them and thus probably enjoy the game less and end up going to play something else.
I came to glint's challenge for the upgrade armor for my heroes, not the cores.. But the cores are nice.
So thanks for the post/build and the video was great. Too bad resolution is poor.
(PS : Could be this or some other reason, Sentinel Insignia right now at 2,200g !! Funny, "Value: 25"
